LA Travel guide

I recently took a trip to LA and wanted to share some tips I picked up.There so many wonder in LA that I want to share with you guys but this are my top picks.

Transport:

First of all, you should know that LA is known for its insane amount of traffic. I highly recommend renting a car and avoid paying the exorbitant Uber fares, which add up to much more than the cost of a rental. That said, there is a vast network of free buses, and I took the bus several times. The bus network can be difficult to navigate, though, and relying on others for help may not always result in you getting to where you want to go. I also took one train to get to the airport and then a shuttle, and it only cost $9.75. I suggest using Google Maps for walking directions to the train and bus. But if you plan to visit several different places within LA it would be best for you to rent a car.

Santa Monica Beach:

There are many things to do around this area and you are bound to have a great time. The beach is beautiful and popular, but the Pacific water is cold. Santa Monica Beach is especially picturesque when the sun goes down, but bring a long sleeve shirt for late night walks. If driving to the beach, plan on arriving early to claim a parking spot and a spot on the beach.

Hollywood Sign:

If you love hiking as much as I do, visiting the Hollywood Sign is a must. You can take pictures on the top of the Hollywood Sign, and the views are vast. Bring plenty of water, as the hike there and back can take 3 to 4 hours.

Malibu Beach:

Malibu Beach

The beaches in California are famously beautiful, but my favorite was without a doubt Malibu. The beach was not overcrowded like the beaches back east.
